Faith, Fitness & Fido™
Foundational Mission Statement
Faith, Fitness & Fido™ exists to encourage individuals and families to glorify God through faithful stewardship of their spiritual lives, physical health, and the animals entrusted to their care.
Through Scripture, exercise, community, and practical dog training, participants are challenged to walk more closely with Christ, strengthen their bodies, and cultivate deeper relationships with their dogs and fellow believers.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 (Geneva Bible)
The Four Pillars
1. Faith
Everything begins here.
Without faith, it becomes a fitness club.
Without faith, it becomes another dog training program.
Faith is the anchor.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own wisdom.”
Proverbs 3:5 (Geneva Bible)
Questions
- Am I walking with Christ?
- Am I seeking His will?
- Am I trusting His guidance?
2. Fitness
The body is a gift from God.
Scripture teaches stewardship.
While physical exercise is not the highest priority, it has value.
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things…”
1 Timothy 4:8 (Geneva Bible)
Notice Scripture does not say exercise is worthless.
It says godliness is greater.
So we pursue both.
Questions
- Am I caring for the body God gave me?
- Am I becoming stronger for service?
- Am I honoring God through healthy living?
3. Fido
Dogs are a blessing and a stewardship responsibility.
Training is ultimately about communication, leadership, patience, consistency, and relationship.
“The righteous man regardeth the life of his beast…”
Proverbs 12:10 (Geneva Bible)
Training becomes an act of stewardship.
Questions
- Am I meeting my dog’s needs?
- Am I leading with consistency?
- Am I being patient and fair?
4. Victory
This may become the defining theme.
Many people walk through life exhausted because they are striving for a victory Christ has already won.
“But thanks be unto God, which hath given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 (Geneva Bible)
We walk from victory.
We train from victory.
We exercise from victory.
We serve from victory.
Questions
- Am I living like someone who has already been redeemed?
- Do I believe God’s promises?
- Am I walking in confidence or fear?
