Our crew enjoyed an unforgettable vacation at Glen Maury Park and Campground in Buena Vista, Virginia, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, fresh air, and plenty of opportunities for adventure.
We spent our days exploring some of Virginia’s most breathtaking outdoor destinations. One of our favorite discoveries was Goshen Pass, where the dogs enjoyed romping along scenic trails, exploring the riverside landscape, and experiencing the vibrant fall colors at their peak. The crisp mountain air, rushing water, and brilliant foliage created the perfect setting for both adventure and relaxation.
The trip also included a memorable hike to Crabtree Falls, where we enjoyed the natural beauty of one of Virginia’s most impressive waterfall trails. Between outdoor adventures, we spent time exploring the charming shops in Montebello, discovering local treasures and enjoying the hospitality of the area.
One of the greatest blessings of the trip was meeting wonderful new friends from Vesuvius, Virginia, whose kindness and fellowship made our visit even more special.
For our dogs, the vacation provided countless opportunities for exercise, enrichment, exploration, and social experiences. For us, it was a time to slow down, appreciate God’s creation, and enjoy making memories together.
Whether relaxing at the campground, hiking mountain trails, splashing through rivers, or simply taking in the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley, this Virginia adventure reminded us of one of life’s simple truths:
